# Accessibility statement

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

## How we test
Every page is checked with axe (automated, WCAG 2.2 AA rules) and Lighthouse before each release, and by keyboard. Last tested: 2026-10-17.

## What we've done
- Text and controls meet AA contrast; focus is always visible.
- Every form field has a visible label; errors are described in words.
- The site works with a keyboard and without JavaScript for menus and forms.
- Typefaces chosen for legibility (Atkinson Hyperlegible Next).

## Known issues
None known.

Manual screen-reader testing: we will test with VoiceOver and NVDA before launch and add the date here (date pending).
