# Privacy notice

Openkept is the trading name of Charlie Cowan, a sole trader. We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@openkept.com, Bishopbrook House, Cathedral Avenue, Wells, BA5 1FD, England.

## What we collect
- **Site visitors:** no cookies. Cookieless, aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics).
- **Growth check and contact forms:** website address, name, email, and what you tell us, plus the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source), and your browser type. We store each enquiry in our database and email it to ourselves so a person can reply.
- **Firms we contact:** public business information about your firm, to prepare a growth check or concept.
- **Clients:** contact and billing details, and the content of your site.

## Why, and our lawful basis
- To reply and send what you asked for: steps before a contract, or legitimate interests.
- Outreach to businesses: legitimate interests, balanced in a written assessment. You can object at any time and we stop.
- Client work: contract.

## How long we keep it
Enquiries and growth-check reports: 12 months, unless you become a client. Firms we contacted who did not reply: deleted after 12 months. Client records: as long as the law requires.

## Who processes it for us
Vercel (hosting), our email provider, AI providers that help write and check work, and Supabase (database).

## Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, objection and complaint to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Email hello@openkept.com.
